Your donation to Habitot’s Birthday-in-a-Box Program is doubled!

Thanks to a matching gift from the Habitot Children's Museum's Board President Mona & her husband Jon, your gift toward birthday parties for children experiencing homelessness will have double the impact!

In 2022, members of the Habitot Children's Museum staff will visit family shelters in the East Bay to lead joyful parties full of games and art activities, and even a pinata! Children will enjoy party favors and cake, and each birthday child will get their very own special gift.

In 2021, each of 10 shelters received a kit with 12 parties' worth of supplies. All children living in a shelter are invited to each party. That means a lot of joy! See pictures and list of participating shelters.

Parties bring days of happy anticipation to families. Donors like you make these parties possible and send a message of caring to children on their day of birth! Please help replenish consumable party supplies and gift cards, and support activities led by members of our museum staff at the shelter.

Joy You Can Give!

$2,000 you give a complete party with Habitot staff to lead the fun, and a kit of reusable supplies (parachute, balls...) to a new shelter.
$760 you give party supplies (favors, pinata, art supplies...) to one shelter for a year.
$66 you give a helium balloon kit for a year of children’s birthdays at one shelter. Do you remember playing keep the balloon off the floor? So much fun!
$23 you give birthday candles for every child’s birthday cake in one shelter for a year.
$15 you give a gift card for a birthday child to pick out their very own gift. The power to choose something for oneself is a gift in itself!
