Give Eva the Gift of Clear Vision

Our 10 year old daughter Eva has been quietly battling vision problems since she was a toddler.
Her eyes don’t work together, she doesn’t have depth perception, and she has very limited peripheral vision. This affects many things in her daily life - academically, physically, neurologically, and emotionally, due to nervous system dysregulation.
Many doctors recommended surgery, but unfortunately, that is only a cosmetic fix. Surgery helps to straighten the eyes but it doesn’t help your brain and eyes connect the way they need to. In addition, as eye muscles can shift, multiple follow-up surgeries are often recommended to vision patients, which are invasive and traumatic and don’t get to the root cause.
We never felt good about surgery and we felt that there was something else that our daughter needed. As we researched options, we discovered vision therapy. Dr. Julie Steinhauer of Vision for Life Works has been successfully treating patients with vision problems using therapy rather than surgery for 20 years. At her clinic they focus on retraining the brain and eyes to truly work together — offering a real chance for healing, confidence, and a better future without surgery. With therapy, the eye nerves start to connect properly to the brain, and this provides both a cosmetic and neurologic solution. Dr. Steinhauer has helped many patients with our daughter’s condition without surgery, and we are confident that she will be able to help our daughter as well.
The therapy is expensive and not covered by insurance. It will take a year of intense exercises and treatment to get the full results. We are paying out of pocket for the therapy, and any donations would help to ease the financial burden. We appreciate your kindness, love, and concern for our daughter.
Thank you!
Sincerely
Brill and Jennifer Hernandez family.
