Meet George, age 12:

Tonight, as you crawl into bed, a young Ugandan boy named George lies on the cold, hard floor of his hut. His “bed” is a scrap of foam infested with bugs. He and his little brother scratch until they bleed, then drift off, whispering dreams of one day becoming doctors or ship captains.

George’s story is not unique—thousands of children in Uganda and Kenya are enduring nights like this right now. They sleep on dirt floors, thin mats, or torn mattresses, often waking up tired, sick, and sore—but still walk to school, carrying dreams bigger than their exhaustion.
