My name is Abubakarr Tappiah Sesay, Lecturer at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology and the Creative Director of The Innovative Intermediary. A few months ago, I set out to film kids playing soccer in Kono, Eastern Sierra Leone. What began as a creative project quickly became a mission of purpose.

These boys weren’t just playing - they were surviving. Their talent was undeniable, but so were their struggles: no school fees, no proper boots, and no guarantee of a meal. Soccer was their escape, their hope, their everything.

That’s why I launched HERAT: Kids with Big Dreams - a grassroots initiative to support 10 boys through education, mentorship, and sport.
