Our dear friend Giselle had an unexpected accident last month resulting in a fractured wrist. Insurance is covering a small portion of the medical bills associated with the injury, but she still owes quite a large sum out of pocket, including the anesthesia and surgery on her wrist. She is part of a family that has suffered a major job loss due to the impact of Covid-19 and does not have a regular source of income, her job search has come to a halt until she can recover and relearn to use her dominant hand. 

Giselle has been immersed in the art and film community, volunteering her time with ATX Television Festival, Austin Film Festival, Fusebox Festival, Lake Travis Film Festival, and SXSW. She is currently serving on the board of directors for Women in Film & Television Austin, and also co-founded Austin Arthouse Film Festival (a community for vibrant and engaging cinematic experiences).

Giselle is warm and kind, volunteering at many organizations including Austin Animal Center, Supermajority, and is a Volunteer Deputy Registrar for Travis County.  She is a daughter, wife, mother, and friend. Giselle is always willing to lend a helping hand, let's step up and show her how grateful we are for her in return.
