Girls Science and Engineering Night

YouTube’s Dianna Cowern (AKA Physics Girl ) and UC San Diego’s Undergraduate Women in Physics (UWiP ) would love your support in our San Diego Girls Dream Big science and engineering night! We have an open invitation to 250 San Diego County girls and boys and their family members to explore their inner curiosity.
The event will feature guest speakers “The Space Gal” Emily Calandrelli, astrophysicist Daniella Bardalez Gagliuffi, and Dianna Cowern about their experiences in STEM, and science demonstrations with UWiP and Professor Adam Burgasser, co-researcher on the TRAPPIST-1 discovery. The talks will be followed by a screening of the IMAX engineering documentary, "Dream Big : Engineering our World."
We need your help! We believe the wonders of STEM should be accessible to everyone, and to keep this event free for girls, boys and their families we ask for your support of our future scientists. Funds will go to renting out the Fleet Science Center dome theater and lobby. If you have the means to donate for those who do not, you are a critical factor in helping inspire our future scientist! And if all you can donate is a like and a share, we appreciate those too.
