Girls Prep Bronx Middle School: We Need You!

Hi Everyone! My name is Kendra Radkowski and I am the current principal at Girls Prep Bronx Middle School located in Bronx, New York. I have the amazing blessing and responsibility of ensuring that 160+ amazing, kind and beautiful young ladies have opportunities to explore the world outside of their neighborhood and become change makers as they move forward in their lives.

In order to do that my scholars need access to resources that ensure they are able to show up confidently, in clean uniforms and have access to routine eye exams and glasses. In addition, as young ladies in middle school, I want to ensure that all of my girls have the proper feminine hygiene products to feel secure in themselves and ready to learn without the barrier of lacking basic necessities.

I am asking for your help to secure funds in order to bring an eye care provider to our school building, purchase hygiene products as well as new uniforms for those that are in need. In addition, I would love teachers to have access to a laminator within the building and swag that allows them to show pride in our school. I also want our kids to have access to field trips, incentives for our scholars positive behavior plans, supplies for our amazing dance and visual arts programs and sensory items to support some of our special populations within the building. We would also like to purchase furniture items and other miscellaneous items for our school building.

Even though we lack in a few things we have been able to achieve amazing academic results. My girls are BRILLIANT. Last year, they were able to achieve an 85%+ pass rate on the Algebra 1 NYS Regents exams giving them high school credit and ultimately expanded academic opportunities in the future. I want their experience in my building to be exceptional from start to finish. They deserve it!
