Hi there! Our names are Celia Harmelink (writer, director), Olivia Thompson (producer), and Troy Meekhof (cinematographer), and we're three filmmakers from Grand Rapids making our first feature film this fall.

As recent Grand Valley State University graduates, we’re super excited to make this dream of ours come true as we’ve been preparing for this moment for the last four years.

Girlhood is the coming-of-age story of Alice Carter that takes place over her transformative senior year of high school circa 2004 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

We're looking to raise $5,000 to pay for our actors, locations, and equipment. Finding funding for this film has been a big challenge as so many opportunities have been paused due to COVID-19.

Anyone who donates will receive their name in the credits of our film and an invitation to our first screening.
