Hi, my names Eleonora and I’ve recently been selected to go on an international trip with Girlguiding Cheshire Border County! I’ve been selected to go to Budapest for four nights during next summer and I can’t wait!
I am a Rainbow Helper and have just loved going on Residentials with Guides from our local units. I got to build stronger friendships with those girls and I look forward to getting to know the other girls selected from across the county as we prepare for our trip! I’ve been eager to have my own international adventure with Girlguiding and attended a County selection day and was delighted when I saw that I’d been chosen to go to Budapest.
While there we will visit the Hungarian National Museum, the 'Shoes on the Danube' memorial to those who died during WWII, the Parliament, Margaret Island, and enjoy some time on the Fenicular Railway, a dinner cruise, and some time at a spa. We'll be taking part in traditional cultural activities and also engaging with a local group of Guides while we are there. I can't wait to try the chimney cakes!
The cost will include group uniform, badges, weekends spent bonding, all accommodation, activities and food.
I am so excited for my first international trip with Girlguiding, and to share my experiences with the Hungarian Guides when I return. I am thankful for this opportunity to make new friends, have new adventures, and learn from everyone along the way.
I am grateful for any donation you would like to make towards my trip. I am also fundraising, selling things I make at markets, attending fairs with sweets tombolas, and helping others. I will also be doing a Reading Challenge. I have challenged myself to read 25 books before I go to raise funds.
