My neighbor’s dog, Girlfriend, caught on fire on the morning of the Fourth of July. She was hit by an ember from a firework, which quickly burned her fur and skin, causing 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Girlfriend spent 4 days in the doggie hospital and is now home recovering while on a strong cocktail of medications. She is not 100% yet, and needs constant supervision.
