Girl with special needs and fam, NEED AC in AZ
Donation protected
Hello. My name is Stacy and I am the proud mother of an adult daughter named Kenedy. She was born full term at 3lbs 12 ounces, and was 17 inches long. I knew this was not normal . Shortly after birth, we had her rushed in a neonatal ambulance to a hospital, with a neonatal intensive care unit as an attempt to save her life and my family and I are so grateful. She was diagnosed with Edwards’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and multiple profound diagnosis’ and disabilities, which hinder her ever crawling, walking, talking or signing any communication. In 2009, I chose to bring her and her younger 2 siblings to AZ, which I believed would stop the scarring of her lungs due to reoccurring pneumonias. IT WORKED! Kenedy has THRIVED in this climate, but CANNOT be in the heat as her body does not sweat. Kenedy is now 27 years old and still an absolute joy with a smile that lights up the sky!
UNFORTUNATELY, OUR AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED RUNNING. I immediately got 2 estimates from experts, as our AC unit is a 2006 (see pics). A technician got it running, a few weeks ago, but it is working nonstop to try and cool the house. Kenedy, our dog, and I, cannot live in our home without air. Tomorrow, we will be reaching triple digits outside. We have no place to go if we have to evacuate our home.
I would be so grateful for your donations. ANY and ALL are deeply appreciated. Thanks so much from the bottom of our hearts and God bless.
