Hey everyone, I am Fee and I have a cause that is close to my heart. We met this little girl in Bolivia whilst I was working there, together with two other german dentists. Arianna is 7 years old and has a cleft palate and lip. For everyone who doesn't know what that is: It's a congenital defect where the tissues do not fuse in the womb, hence the child is born with an opening in the roof of the mouth and the lip. Nowadays, there are repair surgeries with which you can achieve successful rehabilitation. Sadly Arianna wasn't in luck. Although she had an operation she still has a split in her palate. That makes it difficult for her to eat and speak properly. In addition the area is very sensitive to touch so she has trouble caring for her teeth which is why she is struggling with caries and other dental problems. Now Arianna has the chance to be operated once again by german surgeons in her home town Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. We are collecting money to offer her the opportunity of getting this altering surgery. We would be so grateful if you could help Arianna!
