There are people in life who's story really impacts you. Mariela is one of those people.

When I met Mariela 6 months ago, her beautiful soul immediately shined through from beneath her mask. We became more than colleagues, she was my friend. She then told me her story.

Mariela lost ger little brother Gio at the young age of  19. Giovanni Vasquez was a tragic victim to a negligent drunk driver on the night of 11/18/18. He was on his way home from work when this unexpected tragedy occurred. 

Almost 2 1/2 years later and her family is still battling for justice for her brother. 

In the midst  of these never ending battles, her mothers wish is to give her son a proper headstone. The financial burden has become overwhelming. Being a mother, I cant even imagine the pain shes felt.
