Passing of Michael T. Giordano

Michael T. Giordano passed today October 24, 2019 leaving a gaping hole in our  hearts.  He died at the Lahey Clinic.

Gio spent his life in service of others.  First and foremost, he was a dedicated husband to Cheryl and father to Michael and Lyndsey.  He was completely dedicated to ensuring the well-being of  his family. He was a firefighter and a first responder and his years at John Hancock fostered  his love of emergency management.    When he began his career in education, at the Boston Latin School, he established safety protocols, served as a testing and tutoring  coordinator, a mentor, a coach, and the senior advisor.  He ran the Summer Orientation Program and the Exam  School Initiative.  Many of you have known him in these capacities, whereas others knew him from Charlestown or Newton, NH.
However you knew him, we all share a  common bond - we are all part of Gio’s Crew.

I have started a funeral fundraiser to cover the cost of his funeral expenses as well as an educational fundraiser to support Michael and Lyndsey as they complete their higher education.

Please consider donating if you can, as any amount will help.  It would mean a lot if you would share Gio’s fundraiser with others who knew him.

Thank you so much for your consideration,

Kathleen Bateman
