Gio is battling leukemia

My name is Yasmina Zamudio, I am the mother of three children two girls (14 and 2 yrs) and one boy (12 yrs), my boy’s name is Giovanni Avalos aka Gio, who is battling leukemia. For the past six months my son had pains throughout his body specifically the knees and back, to were doctors would send us home and tell us it was growing pain. The pains would go away on their own and reappear. It wasn’t until last September that I took him to the doctor again, and they ordered labs. I had a bit of a hard time trying to convince Gio as like any other child, he would be scared of needles. One day he woke up with pains and asked me to take him and get his labs. Two days later on I received a call from his doctor’s office to take Gio immediately to the ER. That is when I knew something was not right. I received the terrible news, he was diagnosed with leukemia. Immediately he was started on induction therapy, due to spiked fevers port placement was canceled, temporarily a PICC was placed to initiate treatment. He was in the hospital for 10 days and received chemotherapy, and finally able to get the port placement. He will be in chemotherapy for 2 1/2 years. In the meantime, I had to quit my job to help my son. I need your love, your prayers, and help to raise money for his treatment please. God bless you!
