On Tuesday, June 25th Ginne and Al Mistal of Redding, California were involved in a fatal accident while on their way to the celebration of life for their son, Tim Miller who passed away in April.
The accident happened when Al suffered a cardiac event and the motorhome went into the median before going down a slope and into the Big Hole River in southwestern Montana. Unfortunately Al passed away yet Ginne, who was in the back of the RV, somehow survived.
She suffered a collapsed lung, broken ribs, a fractured pelvis and a broken finger and is with her daughter Susan in Southern California to begin recovery.
Ginne now faces a long road to recovery, both with the pain of losing her husband so quickly after her son (and just 2 years after also losing her daughter Lisa) and the physical rehabilitation she will have to endure.
Ginne and Al have been active members of the Redding community for decades and avid givers of their time for many causes and groups in our area. For those that know Ginne, she is a woman who volunteers selflessly..and always has more commitments than she has time to give but somehow manages to get done ahead of schedule and with all the care and love she can give.
As friends of the Mistal family, we have created this page as an opportunity to give back to Ginne and help her in her time of need. As a self-employed Realtor she will undoubtedly encounter many expenses while being unable to work and we would like her to recover without this added stress. If you would like to help too please donate now. Anything you can contribute is appreciated!
