Hello Everyone,
As many of you may know, many of the states on the east coast had phenomenally low temperatures earlier this month.   Very close to the health clinic at which I work are a couple of cats that I have been trying to rescue (I like to call them Mr. and Mrs. Ginger).  

Knowing that the low temperatures would present such a risk, I placed an igloo style heated pad where I occasionally saw them.  While thankfully Mr. Ginger began to use it, Mrs. Ginger chose to shelter in a nearby storm-drain.  I went home on Friday hoping that she would come out and keep her mate company.

Knowing that the temperatures had dropped to particularly low temperatures on Friday night, I rushed back to work on Saturday to check on Mr. and Mrs. Ginger.  As I approached the shelter, I saw that Mr. and Mrs. GInger were together and I was initially happy.  Happiness turned to horror when I realized that Mrs. Ginger was limp and not responding to Mr. Ginger's gentle nudging with his nose.

Here is where I need your help:  Although Mrs. Ginger has been responding well to treatments at the very wonderful VCA Animal Hospital of Gaithersburg, the vet bills that got her through her first night (warming her, rehydrating her) and the subsequent medicine for her cold and pneumonia have been quite expensive.  I am hoping that Ginger's GoFundMe campaign will allow you fellow cat lovers to help with her recovery.
