Help Ginger Wade recover from her illness
Donation protected
Ginger Wade is not only an amazingly kind human, but also a loving mother and awesome friend. She is always there for her family and friends, whether it is for a birthday party, a tennis match or to just go pick flowers on a hard day to brighten it up.
Ginger loves her community and helping others succeed. She is a high school counselor at Crimson Cliffs in St George Utah and a School of Life Instructor where she has helped many students become better versions of themselves, graduate and pursue future degrees and career paths.
Ginger has a variant of Guillain-Barré called Bickerstaff Brainstem Encephalitis (BBE). It is an extremely rare autoimmune disease that affects things such as speech, movement, coordination, and, like in Ginger’s case, can cause temporary paralysis over the whole body. Ginger is expected to make a full recovery. However, the recovery will be long (12-18 months at least) and difficult as she learns how to talk, walk, move, swallow, etc again. As with all autoimmune diseases, there is no cure however there are treatments to ease symptoms and help people like Ginger return to a more new normal life.
We appreciate all the love and support at this time and through the rough road Ginger has ahead. We know Ginger is a very strong woman who will pull through with shining colors because that is what she always does!
