Hey there friends and fam... I have just found myself in a position that is requiring that I rely on the collective generosity of others, those that have the ability and desire to lend me a hand as I have no other choice but to ask for some immediate financial assistance. As many of you know, last year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and underwent a 7 hour robotic surgery to have the enlarged bastard removed (and thankfully all the cancer with it.) While the great news is the cancer has not made a comeback, the crap part is that in the last few weeks I have been floored by a lump the size of a tennis ball protruding just below my belt line and to the right of my zipper. (Feel free to make any inappropriate comments after reading this novel of a plea). So to make a long story short, so to speak, I have an inguinal hernia that is requiring surgery TOMORROW AT NOON. Yes, it's the type of hernia that coined the trauma inducing phrase "turn your head and cough" while we had our family jewels held hostage by the school nurse on the 1st day of gym class in 7th grade. The other part of this equation is I JUST landed the job of my career as a Sr. Technician working for a large biotech company here in San Diego. They immediately put me into management training, as they brought me in to replace my boss who is retiring in the next year or 2. Keep in mind, after the Cancer diagnosis, I hadn't bean able to work since January 5th, so my debts have been piling up, and the few paychecks I've gotten so far have gone toward playing catchup with my storage units (which I came dangerously close to losing all my belongings at auction). I know, I know, I'm getting to the point... I have health insurance that pays %80 with a $2000 deductible and I'll be out of work 1-2 weeks. Just to move forward with the surgery I need a minimum of $2400... in 24 hours... right now my cup is about empty. If yours happens to have enough and you are willing to help a ginger in need, I would graciously accept it right now.
