Gina's Medical Fund

A happy go-lucky girl with a smile on her face. That's what we think of when we talk about our dear friend Gina Vacchio. This woman has not had an easy life. She has had many health problems, including a hip replacement within the last two months. Yet, no matter what happens, she still wears the most beautiful smile on her face. She is an amazing, optimistic, upbeat, giving, and selfless person.
Now Gina must fight one of the biggest battles of her life. Just recently diagnosed with cancer, Gina must continue to work (she is a teacher at our school,
PS 232), although she has no more days left in her "bank". She has two young children to take care of, a new house, many pets, and is recently newly married. 
We are asking for your help. Medical bills and living expenses will start mounting, as she faces several surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy. Many of us are donating some of our "days" to her, but this will only touch the surface.
Now is the time for us to be selfless and show Gina the love and compassion she shows to all of us. With your donations, we hope to give Gina some peace of mind as she battles for her life and struggles to stay afloat financially.
