As many of you may not know, our beautiful mum Gina has been bravely battling stage 4 bowel cancer for the past three years. Despite every treatment and Mum fighting as hard as she can, we’ve now received the heartbreaking news that her time left with us is short.

From the very beginning of this journey, Mum always said: “If I’m ever given a bad prognosis, I just want to take my grandchildren on their first overseas trip to Disneyland.”

Sadly, she had to stop working over a year ago due to her illness and treatment, and with ongoing costs as well as end-of-life and memorial costs, making this trip happen on our own just isn’t possible. At the same time, we’re also pursuing alternate treatments to give her as much quality time as possible.

For those who know Gina, you’ll know she lights up every room. She spent 16 years as the face of the Versace Hotel restaurant, where countless guests told her she made their holiday unforgettable. She’s also overcome incredible challenges - raising two daughters as a single mum, supporting her eldest through childhood leukaemia and surviving breast cancer 17 years ago. Through it all, she has remained the strongest, most loving mother, nana and friend.

Despite everything she’s been through, Mum has never once put herself first. She’s always cared for everyone else and now we would love to give her this one gift in return. With your help, we can make her dream of Disneyland with her children and grandchildren come true and create a memory that will stay with us all forever.
