Help Gina's children
Donation protected
On the 9th July 2025, our beloved Gina lost her 2 year fight against bowel cancer, not even making it to her 48th birthday. She fought bravely, and remained her wonderful self to the bitter end.
It's always hard when someone dies so young, but especially when she leaves behind three children who are heartbroken. Gina's youngest child, Taylor, lost her father just last year, so losing the centre of her world has been particularly difficult to come to terms with. It's a huge relief that Gina's eldest daughter Charlie, at just 26 years old, has stepped up and taken on the care of her little sister, with the help of their brother Kyle, despite the trials and grief they're both struggling with themselves.
But that was Gina's greatest lesson to them, what it means to be family. To care.
It's no surprise that we're all struggling to come to terms with her loss when she meant so much to so many people. Anyone who knew Gina, knew that her house was always filled with her children's friends, and their children. Her door was open to anyone who needed a chat and a safe place. That's the kind of caring, loving person Gina was, she was always there for anyone who needed her. Generous to a fault.
Now we're asking for YOUR generosity. While she was fighting her final battle, something that always played on Gina's mind was how her children would cope without her. How they would financially cope as well as coping with the day to day expense of food, clothing, and housing. They're doing their best, but trying to get ends to meet is tricky at the best of times, and knowing what an amazing community we have I'm hoping that you'll find it in your hearts to donate whatever you can to bring Gina's beloved children a little security while they adjust to life without their wonderful mum.
Thank you for reading about Gina, we'd love to hear any memories you have of her.
Thank you for you donations, no matter how small, it means more than you'll ever know.
