Gina's Hillsong Ministry Fund

Singing worship has always been a passion of mine.  Since I can remember I have been in love with praise and worship and the experience it brings.  For the past couple years I have had this longing to go to Hillsong College to grow in my God given talent of singing and leading people into God's presence. With opportunities to experience genuine growth in God’s word and pursuing the plans He has in store for me, a chance to live this dream would be like no other. There are so many things I believe God will show me, including how I can bring glory to His kingdom through the gifts He created in me. For the past two years I have been fearful to follow through with this desire because it would mean I would have to step out of my comfort zone and be vulnerable. The thought of family and friends not understanding my dream and reasons for taking this step affected my mindset when it came to being disciplined with my savings. Fear drove me to quit the pursuit of my goal time and time again.

But 2018 challenged me to own the moments in my life, no matter what. Years from now, I don’t want to look back on this season of my life wondering, "what if I had had the courage- what if I had taken that leap of faith and went to Hillsong College?" I want to OWN the moments in my life and take advantage of the opportunities available to me.

Now, I’m sure you’re wondering what your financial support will be going towards specifically. There is a long list, trust me. Apart from tuition being the biggest cost, some of the core courses I would take are biblical and theological studies, music theory, principles of worship, vocal technique, leadership training/seminars, evangelism and many more which will be applied through practicum. Unrelated to educational areas; student visa, healthcare, on campus lodging and my plane ticket are the other financial priorities. In order to be accepted into Hillsong College and to take the next steps in preparing the necessary paper work and to confirm my spot, I would need these funds by September 2019.

My hope is that by reading my story, I have moved you to to take those chances. Push through the boundaries that limit you from your God-given potential. Life is too short!
