Gina Miller and her journey with Thymoma Cancer

We’ve created this Go Fund Me to bless our sister Gina, as she navigates her illness and cancer diagnosis.

In this time of need, we are seeking your financial help.

Gina is a small business owner at Miller Flowers, an active aunt, and a children’s ministry leader at her church. She is thoughtful, caring, and leads her staff well in her business. Everyone who knows Gina is blessed by her friendship.

In November, she was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, a rare chronic illness, and Thymoma Cancer (Non- Hodgkin’s Lymphoma) stage 2. This cancer has spread enough that it cannot be removed by surgery at this time.

Her team of doctors suggests the cancer must be shrunk before surgery is done on the thymus.

In November, she went into a MG crisis and was hospitalized in the ICU for 7 days, on a ventilator with difficulty swallowing and breathing. In MG patients, their antibodies destroy the communication between nerves and muscles, resulting in weakness of the muscles and nerves. The cause of MG is unknown and there is no cure, but Gina’s doctors are very positive it can be managed. IVIG is very important for many MG patients.

She had several treatments in the hospital but cannot get follow-up treatments. Gina’s health provider does not cover IVIG outside the hospital & her current cancer treatments.

In a gut-wrenching decision, she applied for Medicare and was denied.

She also looked into applying for Myasthenia Gravis grants, but there is a waitlist at this time and they cannot help her.

We are desperately seeking a way to raise funds to cover her treatments, and costs going forward.

A Message From Gina:

“As I sit at home, post-hospital stay, I know I have a journey ahead. I don't know what it will look like, but I want my testimony to be- God loves us in our questioning, and he is wanting our full surrender back to Him.

I wouldn't have picked an autoimmune disease/cancer to learn what his goodness meant in the fruits of the Spirit. My body may feel down, but my spirit and soul longs to see more of His faithfulness!
