Gina Hedquist support

All please read the request from Amber and Chelsea, Gina’s best friends;

 

Friends, family, colleagues,

 

As most of you may know, our sweet Gina Hedquist is a Registered Nurse at Kaiser Permanente Urgent Care. Gina has worked full time during the pandemic caring for countless patients while also being a full time mom, wife, family member and friend. Thursday Feb. 10th on her lunch break during her shift Gina was in a devastating  car accident sending her directly to the ICU.  Currently, Gina is in stable condition in the ICU at Skyridge Hospital. We do not know the extent of her injuries at this time.

First and foremost, we ask for many prayers for Gina and her family as she will face many obstacles on her long road to recovery. Gina is happily married to her husband Mike, and they have two beautiful children Caden, who is almost 3 ,and Emma, who is just 9 months old. With her recent maternity leave, Gina has exhausted all of her sick and vacation hours to care for precious Emma before returning back to work. Gina is a UFCW Local 7 RN at Kaiser Permanente  and at this time, we are asking if any colleagues would graciously donate any of their vacation time to allow Gina the time she needs to recover.  Our request to all is for any financial support you can give to Gina and Mike to assist them through this journey to help Gina recover. This journey is a marathon not a sprint.  Gina is an incredibly private person but she is need of our help, and this is the best way to support her and her family right now, daily prayers and financial support. We will update you all as Mike and family decide to share -- again wanting to honor Gina's very private preferences.
