Our Dear Aunt Gina, after having her gall bladder removed earlier this month suffered a stroke on Thursday, August 27. The stroke was severe but "pockets" of brain tissue are unaffected.
Currently requiring assistance to breathe, she has paralysis on her left side, loss of vision in her left eye, but may regain some function with physio and exercise. She has suffered some memory loss however Gina's speech and higher reasoning are unaffected.
We are putting this fundraiser together to help alleviate some of the financial and emotional burdens that have fallen to her family and especially Brad, her husband, who lost his access to a comprehensive benefits package as a result of the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.
It is going to take a massive group effort and considerable resources to make Gina's path to wellness fruitful but with all of our hearts and talents we can help to make her struggle less burdensome.
With much love and hope.
The Ingram-Walsh Clan.
