On October 8th, my mother suddenly passed away. Unfortunately, she did not have life insurance. We were actually in the process of getting her life insurance.

For the service, viewing, and cremation, it's going to cost us around $8,000. We ended up pulling from our 401k to cover the cost, but that leaves us with a hefty bi-weekly bill and interest. Whatever we make from this will go back into our 401k to decrease the payments and interest. We lost income with her passing and more with the 401k loan.
