Gimli's Emergency Obstruction Surgery

Donation protected
My amazing rescue dog Gimli has been sick for two weeks now. We tried numerous tests and medications, but nothing was successful. Gimli was finally diagnosed with a small GI obstruction on 5/25/2022. He needs emergency surgery on 5/26 to remove this obstruction so that he can return to health.

Gimli is a 4-y/o Sharpei/Mastiff/Boxer mix who was rescued from a Texas shelter in 2018. His previous owners put him in the shelter because their new condo association thought he looked too "scary." He is loving, snuggly, and playful, but definitely has a mind of his own. He's over 70 lbs normally (down to 66 now because of the weight loss!), but he thinks he's a giant lapdog. He loves people and will snuggle up and give kisses to people he has only just met. He's known in the dog park as the "sherrif" who will help smaller dogs and puppies stay safe when things get out of hand.

I love my dog and have already spent over $3,500 on testing and his hospitalization. I really need some help covering his surgery.
