Life can change in an instant. Gil had his life turned upside down on November 20th, 2021 when he was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of brain cancer.

This fundraiser is to help Gil and his family during his fight with Glioblastoma! 

Gil has been left unable to work, drive or be the active father and husband he was just 4 weeks ago. His wife Jennie very recently took a new job closer to home, after 18 months as a frontline COVID nurse leader in New Haven. This change has brought both great challenges and great opportunities to their family but ultimately leaves her the sole provider for the family. 

Gil is the backbone of his family! Always supporting his girls, from Girl Scout cookie dad to dance dad. He is the kind of guy that has always been there for his friends and family! Gil needs us now, to send encouragement and prayers so he knows his community is rallying behind him. 

No donation is too small, all donations will go towards his current high deductible healthcare costs and his two daughters Olivia (age 9) and Ashley (age 5). 

GBM is the most aggressive type of brain cancer and currently, there is no cure. The average length of survival from a GBM diagnosis is 12 to 18 months, with less than 3–7% of people surviving longer than five years.

Gil has an incredible will to fight! Despite the small setback of abdominal surgery after his craniotomy. He will be starting the only current treatment for GBM. This consists of daily chemotherapy and brain radiation for 6 weeks.

Once the first 6 weeks of treatment are completed, Gil has an appointment to be evaluated for clinical trials at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
