Hi Friends and Family, Please join us in helping Gil fight to become cancer free! He has been home from the ICU since December 23rd and is slowly regaining his strength. Our family is asking for support for Gil and Leticia during this incredibly difficult time. Medical bills, medical supplies, diet specific meals and everyday life bills have become unmanageable alone. Gil is unable to work and Leticia (as you know, is immune compromised and just now in remission from her Myasthenia  Gravis) is home taking care of him. We appreciate any and all support. A little background:
On Sunday, July 5, 2020 Gil was rushed to the emergency room by ambulance. It was during this 11 day stay, our family was given the heartbreaking diagnosis of stomach cancer. With an excellent team of doctors, Gil was given a direct care plan; Immediate stomach surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible and aggressive chemotherapy. Gil’s chemo started off manageable in August, but by late October it had really taken its toll on him. He has fought to continue working through his chemo treatments but as of Nov/Dec, it became impossible. Everyday life requires assistance and the simplest of tasks have become difficult. December was filled with ICU stays, during a pandemic with no room (that will be a story he shares later), and many horrible days and nights. As a family, our faith has been tested but never broken, even when we didn’t have access to him during his hospital stays. As of December 23rd, He has been home recovering with Leticia, his daughter Summer and his 3 fur babies Bailey, Olaf and Coco.

There has been many moments of progress and positivity. He is ready to get back to life and We appreciate all the unending love, support, cards, plants, signs, text messages, Facebook messages.. and the endless amount of prayers. We read them all to him and it really lifts his spirits knowing there are so many of you praying for him. He was chosen to be a warrior and he will win this battle.
