Gillies Family Loss Relief Fund
Over the last few months our family has struggled with my fathers quick, yet short battle with an Esophogeal Carcinoma. All efforts were made to provide his final days with comfort and love. Our family encourages all who were touched by him to hold on to his humor, selflessness, and empathy. With a heavy heart, we are sad to announce a great man passed away. He will be remembered not only by his days on earth but for the moments and memories left with us after he is gone. On Wednesday morning January 18th, 2017 at 3:40 a.m. David Joseph Gillies was able to pass away peacefully in his sleep.
We are in need of financial assistance. This is to help with the growing list of estate clearing expenses, cremation, and temporary housing costs for his youngest son, Steven, and grandson, Orion. Due to the demands of healthcare and rent costs, we are reaching out to the community. The landlord has asked us to vacate the premises within 30 days. Steven was employed by our father and stood by his side everyday through his sickness. Unfortunately with the passing of our father, Steven was left unemployed with a 4 year old son, and a moderately sized estate to clear out. These funds would be used to relieve pressure on David's immediate family as we are unable to maintain the sudden financial strain.
Cremation costs in our area are around $900-1100
Moving, Temporary Storage and Dump est. $850
Approximate cost for temporary housing $2000
Any donation, or help with the tasks at hand whether moving help, housing placement, general assistance, energy, or prayer are greatly appreciated. As we fall on hard times our family looks to our community for assistance in recovering from this loss.
The funds are needed as soon as possible, however we'll be accepting donations until our goal is met, or we are able to regain ability to mantain the financial strain.
