Jennie Marie D. Hinrichs, wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend and accomplished attorney, died on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jennie was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. First of eight kids. She spent much of her childhood between gymnastics at Sokol Hall, swimming at Rockbrook pool and soccer at Christ the King.
She attended Marian High School ’85. Graduated College of St. Mary’s with a degree in Paralegal Studies. Graduated from Creighton Law School in 1996.
For the past 17 years she worked at the Douglas County Attorney’s office in various roles from being liaison to the Department of Justice, working in Child Endangerment/Harmony and as acting Coroner. She also taught law at College of St. Mary’s.
She married her best friend Jeff in 1995 and were together a total of 24 years. They have two amazing children, Gillian (17) and Alex (15). Jennie loved watching Gillian play soccer and Alex play football.
Gillian (17) attends Marian High School and Alex (15) attends Creighton Prep. Both are extremely active in extra curricular activities, play sports and maintain high GPA’s. Gillian and Alex plan to attend college and Gillian strives to become a doctor.
This GoFundMe Education Fund has been established because so many people asked for an online option to contribute to the Jennie’s Memorial. It has been established to honor her memory.
