Hi, my name is David and I’m trying to raise help for my mum. She suffered a devastating house fire in the early hours of 22nd December which has completely destroyed everything, including the house and everything she owns.

We have found out the hard way that she didn’t have buildings insurance. My dad, her husband Ian, died 8 years ago and we mistakenly thought the policy transferred over to Gill to cover the house. It didn’t.

She has contents insurance luckily, but nothing to cover the rebuild of the physical house.

The fire started in next doors property and spread through the roof destroying her home. She has nothing left and it wasn’t even her fault.

She has gone through a horrendously tough few years, she lost her mum and then her husband and then her father shortly after. Now she has lost her home and all her possessions and memories.

She also lost two of her beloved cats during this fire. This has taken such a toll on her, and now she finds herself in a position where she has no hope.

We are trying to raise money to help rebuild her whole life. If you can spare even a tiny sum we would be forever grateful.
