Gilder Anzueto’s Funeral Expenses

Hi, my name is Jacquelyne Anzueto. I’m starting this fundraiser for my beloved, 55-year-old father, Gilder Anzueto. It pains me as I write this.

On December 10, 2022, at 8:48 pm my entire world felt like it stopped with just a phone call that our Gilder Anzueto was taken from us. Our lovely father leaves behind many family members and friends who loved him so dearly. He was a great father, grandfather, husband, brother, friend, son and role model to many many people. He would make everyone around him laugh and could make jokes like it was his first language. My father came to the United States from Guatemala at a very young age to live a better life. He was married for 22 years and had three beautiful children. He was always so proud of us and would talk about us to everyone: family, friends, and even people he had just met. My father loved to be outside. He worked outside, he was from a very small rural area where he would go and visit almost every chance he could and he was more than proud of where he came from.

He would be woken up every morning by his two-year-old granddaughter who was ready for their morning walk. She couldn’t start her day unless he walked around the neighborhood with her. He took pride in being her grandfather and would
post videos and pictures with her all of the time. He would teach her many words, and facial expressions, and most importantly he was teaching her how to love. She was a huge fond of him, they were best friends. He loved his daughter-in-law, Brittany so much and would always tell me how thankful he was to have her and how she was another daughter to him.

However, like any other person, my father was not perfect. He made mistakes and dealt with a lot throughout his life but he came from a very difficult time where life was hard but not impossible. He was imperfect but never unhappy. He hit some bumps but he always got back up. He taught us how to be strong, hardworking, independent, loving, kind-hearted, and caring. I am proud to say I saw this man hit rock bottom and he still enjoyed everything in this world.

On December 7, 2022, he went into surgery to remove a part of his kidney. A surgery that was expected to be 99% successful and he was supposed to come back home the very next day with no complications. However, he was kept in the hospital for three days due to complications and immense pain, and he fought until December 10th, 2022. We choose to believe God had different plans for my father. We choose to believe he did the work he had to do on this earth and now he is resting peacefully. I cannot describe the pain we are going through but it puts me at ease that he is now in a much better place.

“We all have the ability to come from nothing to something.” -David Goggins. One of my favorite humans on this earth who has the strongest mindset and discipline like my father. He came from absolutely nothing to eventually provide for himself, three kids, and his wife.

No amount of money could ever replace this loss, but any donation you can make will help to ease the burden of any financial strain to give Gilder a proper burial. It is also a way of telling his beautiful story for those of you who knew him. I thank everyone for any donation as well as for taking the time to read this that truly came from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
