Gilbert (Sokoy) and Joy Casionan’s sudden passing due to a car accident was a shock to many, most especially to their two daughters, their parents, grandparents, immediate families and to us, their friends. The accident happened near their home in Camrose on July 20th 2022.

Those who knew them will remember them for their humility, kindness, simplicity, eternal smiles and hearty laughs. They have a special love for welcoming people in their home as evident by the countless gatherings they hosted throughout the years. The couple were true friends to many and for sure will be missed for a long time.

Saddened as I am, I can’t imagine what their immediate families are going through so the main goal of this fund raiser is to help relieve the family of some of the financial stress associated with the passing of a loved one, and in this case, the passing of a couple much loved by everyone. Some of you have reached out and asked how you can help us during this time. Know that your kindness is much appreciated as we navigate this heartbreaking moment.
