Hello, my name is Cristina Vicente, and I am Gilbert's aunt. I decided to make this page to find ways to get help for my youngest nephew Gilbert and my sister with financial support for all his cancer treatments and recovery.

Unfortunately, Gilbert had been diagnosed with Wilms Tumor and recently underwent emergency surgery to remove the tumor and right kidney. After surgery, the doctors also found Stage 3 cancer spots in both of his lungs. He will require six months to a year of intense chemotherapy and radiation with traveling from Port St. Lucie to Orlando every week. In addition, my sister will no longer be working to be at my nephews' side every step of the way.

Our little Superman Gilbert is only 8 years old and has two siblings. Gilbert now has to face a long battle ahead of him at such a young age. We are all torn and can barely speak about this overwhelming and sad news. Yet we have to stay positive and hopeful that with all the treatment and help, our little Superman will be healthy and back to normal life with the grace of God.
