Hi, my name is Charlie Ruddy from Scituate, MA. My business partner of 20 years is Jaana Gilbert of Salisbury NC. Jaana's husband Jim "Jungle" has recently been diagnosed with ALS.

 

Jim has a heart of gold, first to offer a hand to a friend, father of their twin 15-year-old daughters. Jim is also a guy's guy; confident, self-reliant, hard-working member of the Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR team working behind the scenes and crisscrossing the country for years driving the race and test haulers.

 

While the ALS diagnosis is heartbreaking at every level, I am asking you to join me in your financial support to cover the cost of modifications that need to be made to their home in Salisbury NC and the practical matters of adjusting to a wheelchair and additional costs brought on by ALS. Jim can no longer work in his profession and is showing tremendous grace in doing what he can to provide for his family and muster the energy for the daily fight to adapt to the new realities brought on by ALS.
