Gigs Recovery Support

I’ll do my best to provide “updates” as I get them. They appear below the original post. Gary Hunt, who we affectionately refer to as Uncle Gigs, is a loving husband, a father of four wonderful children, and an uncle to countless nieces and nephews. Many of my early childhood memories involve Gigs, and how he always made me laugh. His positivity and sense of humor have had a profound impact on my life. His children are a reflection of how he has lived his life. Gigs has always been adventurous and made extra effort to encourage his children to enjoy the outdoors.

Unfortunately, Gigs suffered a tragic accident while enjoying a scenic hike at Taylors Falls with his family. He was rescued by boat and airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. His strength helped him survive the fall. However, there are many surgeries ahead, and the path forward is unknown.

Thank you to the rescue crew and medical team for everything. The family sincerely appreciates all of the prayers and support.
