Gigi’s Road to Recovery

On Friday March 8th, while on her way to the restaurant, Gigi of Dizzy Daq’s, was in a serious car accident. Another driver pulled out in front of her on Interstate 80, causing her to lose control of her vehicle. She had to be cut out of the vehicle and transported to UT Tyler, where she spent time in ICU. Gigi sustained multiple injuries and fractures and has already underwent several surgeries. Her husband, Curtis, had to close Dizzy Daq’s for the time being, so that he can be by her side. Gigi is in good spirits, but has a long road to recovery ahead of her.

The restaurant is their family business and main source of income. While we hope that insurance will cover their loss and injuries, insurance claims and payments can take some time and do not happen overnight. Our goal with this fundraiser is to raise $12,000 to cover expenses as Gigi recoveries. The doctors say that Gigi will not be able to stand on her left leg for six months, and her right foot will also need time to heal. We do not want them to worry about losing their business while they navigate the next few weeks and months. They are a part of our downtown family in Mineola and we hope the community can rally to help them during this unexpected and difficult time.

Our dear Father in heaven, we humbly come before you to ask that you watch over Gigi and Curtis and their business and to provide strength and sustenance to them. We pray that you provide Gigi a full healing and recovery from her injuries. We also pray that you open the hearts of the community and to provide for them in this time of need. We ask all these things in Jesus name, Amen.
