My name is Georgia Drager, I am 21 years old and I work several jobs to make my dreams of opening my own no kill animal shelter come true!. I am currently finialzing my rescue shelter lisencing, getting my non for profit status, and i'm going to college to get my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in entrepreneurship and non for profit organization and leadership to run a shelter of my own. I have been volunteering & fostering for animal rescues since 2013.
Now I have decided I want to start my own and help the animals that need it the most. The sick, hurt and homeless. I have had an amazing support system and really appreciate all of the help I have recieved so far. I'm very blessed to be able to help as many animals as I have and do what I love.
My plan for the near future is to raise enough funds to implement a spay/neuter program for the stray cats of Cameron area in hopes to reduce the number of feral, sick and homeless cats.
I'd love to start a high school program to involve young people who are interested in animals and helping animals. This would include getting experience in vet visits, medication administration, and proper daily care of animals.
I also look forward to having multiple fundraisers throughout the year. These fundraisers help purchase the items we really need. In the future I hope we can raise enough money to purchase a vehicle to transport the animals to and from the vet, foster homes, and adoption events.
There are daily expenses to take care of the animals including, cleaning supplies, litter, canned food, bagged food, and all medications for the animals. The donations recieved are used to care for the animals everyday and get them all the care they need. This also includes the vet bills for shots, deworming and any medical issues.
Any money raised is used only on the animals and for their care!
Thank you for your support and helping me help the animals. Every donation is appreciated!!!
