GiGi’s Medical Costs

Hi, name is Allison and I am creating this GoFundMe in honor of my most dear friend Torrey’s Daughter, GiGi.

GiGi began showing signs of muscle impairment in early January, as she was having trouble walking. This eventually lead to her being completely unable to walk on her own, and after many tests and a hospital stay, doctors concluded it must be due to a virus and would likely get better in time…

However, GiGi started showing more severe symptoms. She is now not able to sit up or stand on her own, let alone walk. As well as she started having rapid eye movements with her eyes rolling back into her head and fluttering from side to side.

After doing multiple MRIs and a spinal tap, they found a tumor on GiGi’s adrenal gland.

Her prognosis is still pending, but only 1 in 5 million children worldwide get this type of tumor. They are still waiting to do a biopsy, as well as determine if they are able to remove the whole tumor, or if chemo/radiation will be needed.

This has no doubt been an extremely difficult and life altering time for my friend and her family. Being a one income household and with GiGi’s Dad, Mikhail, taking off as much time as he has and still plans to, they are beginning to stress about medical bills and general finances.

We are not sure what the future holds for GiGi as far as her health and recovery, but Torrey and Mikhail will be by her side every step of the way, and finances should never be a worry as to if it will get in the way of that.
