Hello Everyone,

Here we are again. Walking through life on life's terms. I am creating this fundraiser for my wonderful mother, Gigi. A couple of months ago, she received a Stage 3 Lung Cancer diagnosis. She was presented with her first opportunity to fight. On October 26th, she had a large tumor removed, taking the lower lobe of her right lung. In hopes that the cancer would be removed from her body. After the surgery, we were told it had spread to some lymph nodes & that she would have to start chemotherapy & Immunotherapy right before Christmas. So the fight begins!!!!

Two years ago, our family lost my father to Lung Cancer. It was such a difficult time for my family, but these incredible fundraisers and the community's help were a blessing. So I wanted to utilize this fantastic resource for a very deserving woman.

My mother is such a strong & loving human. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone. She worked as a Medical Assistant at a Pediatric Clinic in Clackamas. She loves her job so much & it has affected her in several ways not being able to work. She was previously approved for short-term disability, but that is ending. She received eight weeks of pay and has already used the extension. For no reason that I can understand, she has had no luck getting approved for long-term disability. But we are trying like hell to change that.

Like many others today, she lives paycheck-to-paycheck and works so hard. Unfortunately, that lifestyle does not prepare individuals for illnesses or taking extensive time off work. This fundraiser is to help with several things within her day-to-day life. Food, Vet Visits for her Pup, Monthly Bills, Gas, Accommodations to her home, Wigs/Hats for Chemo hair loss, Etc. She has experienced significant weight loss, so getting her some clothes that fit will be very helpful, so she is comfortable.
