Gigi's Cancer Care

Donation protected
Gigi is an amazing young woman from Lima, Peru. She loves God, her family, her friends, her community, and art. She is always thinking about the needs of others before herself. She is a bright light wherever she goes, and shares her love for life and for people with everyone that she meets. She is a selfless example of the love of Christ, selflessly serving others by volunteering countless hours to people with limited resources, like orphaned children, community libraries, non-profits, and other institutions in her country. Gigi has done so much for her community that she has been recognized as a cultural promoter, has been awarded the civic medal for her district, and has recieved many community and ministerial recognitions as well. Gigi has poured her loved into her country to make it a better place. She belongs to the Emmanuel Biblical Church of Peru, where she has performed Scripture teaching services (even in the midst of the pandemic). She has also served on several national and international mission trips. Gigi strives to give all her time, energy and resources to doing the Lord's work.

Gigi is also one of the strongest people you will ever meet. Over the past two years, she and her family have endured the most difficult times anyone can imagine. Since last year, Gigi and her family have gone through so many harships. First her mother's stomach cancer worsened which put her on the verge of death, then the whole family was infected with covid. And then her father, her older brother and her grandmother passed away from that virus. The rest of the family was affected by post-covid symptoms. A few months after that, Gigi was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, which has been a very difficult situation to cope with, not only health wise, but emotionally and economically.

Before all this, Gigi earned a degree in Business Administration from the National University of Villa El Salvador, and was pursuing a Master's degree in Pastoral Counseling and Theological Studies. Her biggest dream is to share the gospel with people in need of spritual and emotional counseling. Unfortunately, these studies have been interrupted by the difficult situation that she is going through right now. And in her current health condition, she cannot work either. Her family and I have pour all our finances into her medical treatment for her cancer care.

Gigi started her chemotherapy treatment in Peru back in December of last year, but the Peruvian medical system was unable to provide her with the ongoing care she needed. There was no medicine there. But God is good, and He provided a way for Giselle to receive the care she needs here in the USA. God has blessed the process by lining up a visa, passport, and travel arrangements, and all the treatment needed for Gigi here in the United States. But financial coverage is still desperately needed. Giselle constantly thinks about the needs of others and would never ask for help in this way, but she needs it. My name is Jacob, and I am Gigi's husband. And right now, Gigi, her family and I need your help. If this story resonates with you and you feel moved to help, any help is greatly appreciated, from the bottom of our hearts. All of Giselle's treatments, exams, appointments, surgeries, and medicines are all unbelievably expensive. And our insurance does not cover every, and we have also investigated as many charities as we could find. But almost none of them are willing to help. On behalf of Giselle and her family, thank you so much for reading her story and considering supporting her through this difficult time. Whether you choose to support through prayer, encouragement or financially, it all helps tremendously. Thanks, and God bless you.
