To celebrate my 45th bday, I did something I've always wanted to do - but I've actually been too chicken to do it.
I shaved my head. And I did it for Cancer Research.
Friends, it's just not possible to go through life without knowing and loving someone or being someone who has had to face Cancer. And it's really, really complicated. There are so many kinds of Cancer, and so much more scientific research is needed to prevent it, treat it and save lives. It is everyone's fight.
And that is why for my 45th birthday, I've chosen to raise money in support of the Terry Fox Research Institute. This idea is inspired and dedicated to my beloved Aunt Colette, who has been in chemo for over a year. I want to let her know, and all of our loved ones who have had to face this that we support them.
My aunt has shaved her head for Terry Fox in the past - so that's what I did - on my 45th birthday, at her house. Check out the video!
My aunt's friend Lauriehas a history of shaving heads for Terry Fox fundraisers in Port Colborne and we share the same birthday so we made it a birthday party. It was fun and incredibly moving. I really enjoyed the gesture, but I do miss my hair, TBH.
So will you please join me and donate here to the Terry Fox Cancer Research Institute.
All the money will go directly to them, and they'll even send you a tax receipt!
The campaign will remain up until I reach my goal!
THANKS FOR YOUR GENEROSITY. THIS IS FOR ALL OF US.
Thanks for being here, and sending you love.
