I am running the Columbus Marathon to raise money and awareness for The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee.
The Elephant Sanctuary is an amazing place where elephants that have been exploited in circuses and zoos are retired to live their lives out in peace. There are no more bullhooks, no more shows or performing, just elephants being elephants.
The Sanctuary is on 2700 acres in Hohenwald, Tenn. and NEVER open to the public. The eles truly find their second chance here.
I was lucky enough to be chosen to volunteer here and I feel truly blessed for the experience. As many know, elephant conservation is my passion!
