On September 5, our family’s world was shattered in a way we never thought possible. Our sweet Gianna Michelle, lovingly nicknamed GiGi—our little princess, full of laughter, light, and love—was taken from us far too soon in a tragic drowning. She was just shy of her 2nd birthday on October 19.
GiGi was the heart of the family. With her bright eyes and that unforgettable smile, she had a way of wrapping everyone around her tiny finger. She loved big, hugged tightly, and radiated pure joy wherever she went. Every moment with her was a blessing—whether she was toddling around on her little legs, giggling at the simplest things, or climbing into our arms for snuggles.
But more than anything, GiGi loved her mommy, daddy, and her big brother Adien. She adored following her big brother around and trying to do everything he did. She would light up when her daddy walked into the room and would melt into her mommy’s arms for comfort and love. Their bond was unshakable, and the hole left in their hearts is beyond measure.
Now, as we face this devastating loss, our hearts are broken. Nothing can prepare a family for something like this. While we are still searching for answers about what happened, right now our focus is on celebrating GiGi’s life and laying her to rest with the love and dignity she deserves.
We are creating this GoFundMe to help with funeral costs and to give her parents time to grieve without the added weight of financial strain. Many of you have reached out asking how you can help—this is one way to support us in this unimaginable time.
If you are able, please consider donating or sharing this page. Every act of kindness, whether it’s a prayer, a donation, or simply lifting GiGi’s name in love, means more than words can say.
GiGi will forever be our baby girl—our bow-legged princess who should be turning two this October. She will never be forgotten, and she will always live on in the hearts of those who loved her most.
With deepest gratitude and broken hearts,
The Family of GiGi
