I am trying to republish my previously self published books at a cheaper price.
And for the first time I'll get 100% of the royalties and if they do well I can get traditionally published by a publishing house which has been my dream for a while now.
I self published in 2015 and 2017. In 2015 I could only afford the basic package and so only publishing my book. I didn't get to have it edited or marketed and that's because I couldn't afford it.
For my second book I was able to do the basic package plus basic marketing. Again I didn't get to have the book edited. Both times I did it myself.
With my self publishing company I didn't get 100% of the royalties and I haven't received any money from the books because of the way the royalties system is set up.
So a company approached me and offered to republish my books at an affordable price where I get to keep the royalties and they produce a sales report that they can take to publishing houses and get me a book deal which could lead to my other works being published!
I am republishing The Chief's Revenge and part of the funds from this gofundme will go to marketing and the other part of the funds will go to republishing and marketing A Classic Case of Deja Vu (I also get to re edit this book so I'm very excited about that).
The sum of money may seem small but as I am currently unemployed I am struggling to fund the project myself and so I thought that I would give gofundme a try.
