Kelsey was schedule for an induction on January 4. They started Pitocin Friday morning but actually turned it off because she was contracting well on her own. After 2 hours of pushing, Kelsey, Tim and her team decided it was time to go to C-section. When Brady came out she would not breath on her own, they placed a breathing tube and took her to NICU. She weighed 7lbs 4oz 20.5” long. The breathing tube was removed after a short time and they continued to monitor her in the NICU. Saturday afternoon the neonatologist ordered a MRI because Brady’s temperature would not stay regulated. The MRI determined that she had an area of concern on her brain. Brady was transported to Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt via ambulance that night so she could get expert care. Kelsey was discharged from Bowling Green so she could go with Brady.
Kelsey started feeling bad on Sunday and was admitted to Vanderbilt’s post partum unit for IV antibiotics for 36 hours.
Kelsey and Tim are exhausted but together as a family and reamin steadfast in their faith. Brady is doing well, labs are stable and she is breathing on her own without any problems, her vital signs are stable and she is back to regulating her temperature . Oh and of course she is gorgeous!
There is not much to do in the way of treatment at this time, monitor and try to determine what caused the incident and how to prevent another one. We ask that you please keep Brady, Kelsey and Tim in your prayers and only positive vibes!!! Brady is blessed to have such a strong family to support her. She is strong and has already proven she is a fighter! ❤️❤️
They ask to keep visitors to a minimum while Kelsey and Brady heal and Tim cares for them both and they learn to be a family of 3. We will keep you updated as things move along. We ask you send prayers and positivity their way. We know everyone feels helpless in these moments and wants to do something for Kelsey, Brady and Tim so that’s why we created this page. During this time, the last thing we want them to worry about is finances. So please give what you feel inclined to give and know that every penny will go for Brady’s needs and taking care of this family that is so precious to all our hearts. Thank you.
