'Gifting Goals' provides support to educational, health and early child development projects in Djibouti but is also focused on raising awareness in the UK of the challenges faced by countries like Djibouti, located in the hottest region on the planet. Most significantly the challenges to achieving the UN sustainable development goals.
Djibouti is one of the most unknown countries in the world with the highest levels of poverty, most challenging terrain and limited infrastructure. Being the hottest country on the planet means effects of climate change are acute but coupled with the levels of poverty, malnutrition and low life expectancy, opportunities to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals and find a sustainable future for its population are limited.
'Gifting Goals' understands that children are the future and not only do they deserve greater opportunity at life but developing education, in and beyond school, to enable children to grow up healthy, strong and educated is one of the most significant answers to life in this stunning corner of the world where love, hope and gratitude are in abundance.
'Gifting Goals' is an ambitious charity aiming to transform rural communities across the country and give children hope for a future where they can make and achieve their dreams and have confidence that their children and grandchildren will have a future that is bright, safe and long.
