Gifted Peruvian writer is living on the streets!

Today I want to talk to you about my dear friend, Salvattore Beteta. Sal has been like a son to me for nearly a decade, and he is in dire need of your help. He is a native of Lima, Peru, and at the time of this writing, he and his family are forced to live on the streets.

Sal is a gifted writer, a budding freelance journalist, and a Spanish/English translator. Unfortunately, he has been in a state of poverty for years, and due to recent events in his life, he has been deprived of his laptop, in addition to stable living conditions or food. Without a laptop, he cannot submit work, and therefore cannot afford to buy food, pay for housing, or do much of anything else.

Sal is also one of the best people I know. He is giving, loyal, and compassionate. He is stuck in a third world country in the midst of extreme civil unrest, and has no means of escape or elevating his station in life. With your help, he will be able to get his laptop back and start writing, pay his bills, and secure housing and food for himself, and his mother.

I ask you, from the bottom of my heart, please consider contributing to this GoFundMe. Sal has so much to say, and in such an articulate way, and the world needs to hear his voice. He deserves so much more than what he has. Can you help?

Hoy quiero hablar acerca de mi querido amigo, Salvattore Beteta. Sal ha sido como un hijo para mi por casi una década, y está en grave necesidad de su ayuda. Es un nativo de Lima, Perú, y en el momento de escribir esto, él y su familia están forzados a vivir en las calles.

Sal es un escritor talentoso, un periodista independiente emergente, y un traductor de Español/Inglés. Desafortunadamente ha estado en un estado de pobreza por años, y debido a recientes eventos en su vida, ha sido privado de su laptop y de condiciones estables de vida o comida.
